A Fireflies alternative without a meeting bot
Fireflies records meetings by sending a bot into the call (or through its desktop app) and transcribes the audio in its cloud. jotty.pro records the meeting tab from your browser instead and, in the membership, transcribes it on your device. No bot, no install, and no per-seat pricing.

Where they differ
Bot versus tab
Fireflies joins the meeting as a participant. jotty.pro never appears in the call: you record the tab you are already in.
Where the transcript lives
Fireflies keeps recordings and transcripts in its cloud. jotty.pro stores notes, recordings and transcripts in your browser, on the device you recorded on. They leave only when you choose: an export, a backup, or a passage you send to a provider on your own key.
What you can do with the transcript
Both give you a transcript and AI summaries. jotty.pro adds templates that turn a transcript into the same shape every time, search by meaning across all your notes, and webhooks that send results as JSON to any URL.
When Fireflies is the better choice
- Your team needs a shared meeting library in one workspace.
- You want a bot to join every meeting automatically.
- You need access from any device.
When jotty.pro fits better
- Bots in the call aren't welcome with your clients or your company.
- You want the recording on your own laptop by default.
- You work alone and don't want seat-based plans.
Honest answers
Does jotty.pro do speaker labels?
Speaker labels come from cloud providers. Add your own key for a provider that offers them, such as Deepgram, and route those calls to it.
Will I remember to press Record without a bot?
That's the trade-off of every tool without a bot. The tab sits next to your meeting, and it takes one click.
Is there a free version?
Yes. The free preview runs in your browser with no account.
