Do I need to install anything?
No. jotty.pro runs in a modern browser. Open the tab and start recording.
How do I add content?
Record audio from a meeting or your mic, type notes, paste text, or import supported files. Everything lands in one searchable workspace.
Which browsers work best?
Chrome and Edge have full support. Firefox and Safari may have limitations.
Is my data private?
Yes. Transcription and AI run on your device by default, so your data stays in your browser. Cloud AI is used only when you add your own API key and choose to send something.
Where is my data stored?
On the device you recorded on. Notes, recordings, and analysis are stored in your browser. Data leaves only when you choose: an export, a backup, or content you send to a cloud provider on your own key. Even then, your copy stays on the device.
Can I use it for personal notes, not just meetings?
Yes. Type or record notes, organize them with tags and templates, search by meaning, and run AI analysis, all in one private workspace.
Can I send results to other tools?
Yes. Webhooks fire from your browser to any URL you set. Keep CORS in mind on the receiving end.

Does a bot join my meeting?
No. jotty.pro records the audio of the meeting tab you already have open. Nobody sees a bot in the participant list.
How accurate is on-device transcription?
Good for clear audio. For long, dense calls or speaker labels, cloud providers are still better, and we say so. Add your own API key and route just those tasks.
Is it HIPAA or GDPR compliant?
No, and we do not claim it. Running on your device keeps data off our servers. Compliance depends on your organization, your device, and any provider you route to under your own agreement.
Can I use it on my phone or a second computer?
Not today. Your data lives on the device you recorded on. Move it with an export or backup, or route through your own cloud provider.

No bot, yes. But they still send the audio to their own cloud to transcribe it. jotty.pro transcribes inside the browser tab, so the audio stays on your machine unless you route it to a provider on your own key.
Do I get the full transcript or only a summary?
Both. Summaries miss small details, so the full transcript and the recording stay with every note. Templates pull out the fields you care about on top.
