Interview, screening, and presentation practice with speech feedback

Rehearse job-interview answers, screening questions, or presentations by speaking into your microphone, then review your transcript and communication feedback in jotty.pro. Live captions create a transcript without saving a replayable audio file. The transcript and any notes remain in your browser unless you choose to send text to an AI provider.

On your device

Practice how you communicate

Use the built-in Personal Review template's Communication Feedback to review microphone-only speech. It can flag filler words, rambling, unclear explanations, and patterns in speaking pace, with examples from the transcript. Refine an answer or presentation, practice it again, and see what changed in the words you used.

This is transcript-based feedback. It does not assess vocal tone, facial expression, or whether an answer makes you qualified for a role. It can help a candidate rehearse or an interviewer practice clear, consistent screening questions; it is not a candidate-ranking tool.

How to rehearse

  1. Choose an interview question, screening prompt, or presentation topic and open jotty.pro.
  2. Use microphone-only live captions to speak your answer or presentation; use headphones if another call is open so its audio is not picked up by your microphone.
  3. Review the transcript, then apply Communication Feedback in the Personal Review template.
  4. Pick one suggestion, such as removing a filler phrase or making the explanation more direct, and try the answer again.
  5. Keep the transcript if it is useful, or delete it when you are done.

Audio and transcript handling

Live-caption sessions do not create a saved audio file in jotty.pro. That does not mean audio processing happens only on your device: browser speech recognition may send it to the browser's speech service. Chrome uses Google's service; Edge uses Microsoft's. Read the in-app notice before you start, and do not use this preview path for confidential interviews. If you choose a hosted AI provider for feedback, the transcript text you submit is sent to that provider under its terms.

With your own cloud key

Rehearse job-interview answers, screening questions, or presentations with microphone-only live captions, then analyze the transcript with an AI provider you choose. Live captions create a transcript without saving a replayable audio file in jotty.pro. The transcript stays in your browser unless you send it for analysis.

Review the words, not a recording

The Personal Review template's Communication Feedback focuses on microphone-only speech. It can flag filler words, rambling, unclear explanations, and patterns in speaking pace, with examples from the transcript. Practice an answer or presentation, review the feedback, make one change, and try again.

This is transcript-based feedback, not an acoustic or video review. It does not assess vocal tone, facial expression, or whether a candidate is suitable for a role. Use it to rehearse your own answers or practice asking consistent screening questions, not to rank applicants.

How the provider-based workflow works

  1. Choose an interview question, screening prompt, or presentation topic and speak into your microphone using live captions.
  2. Review the transcript in jotty.pro; the live-caption session does not create a replayable audio file.
  3. Apply Communication Feedback in the Personal Review template.
  4. If you use a hosted AI model, send the transcript text to the provider configured under your own key. That provider's terms govern its processing.
  5. Keep the transcript in your browser, revise your answer, and rehearse again.

Know which service receives what

The browser's speech-recognition service may process live audio: Chrome uses Google's service and Edge uses Microsoft's. A no-file live-caption session does not mean the audio stays on your device. If you choose hosted AI feedback, the transcript text is also sent to the provider you selected. Check the in-app speech notice and the provider's terms before using this workflow; do not use it for confidential interviews unless those data paths are approved.

Honest answers

Does practice save my audio?

Live captions create a transcript without a replayable audio file. The transcript and notes can remain in your browser. Browser speech recognition may still process the live audio through its speech service, so no saved audio file is not the same as audio never leaving the device.

Can jotty.pro judge my vocal tone or presentation delivery?

No. Communication Feedback works from the transcript and can comment on wording, filler phrases, clarity, and pace patterns. It does not analyze vocal tone, facial expression, or interview performance as a hiring decision.

Can I use it to prepare screening questions?

Yes. Rehearse the questions you plan to ask and review whether your own wording is clear and concise. The feedback is for your communication practice, not for scoring applicants.

Is any audio file saved?

Live captions create a transcript without a replayable audio file in jotty.pro. The transcript can remain in your browser, but browser speech recognition may process the live audio through its speech service.

What is sent to my AI provider?

The transcript text you choose to analyze is sent to the provider configured with your key. The provider's terms govern processing on its side; jotty.pro does not make that provider decision for you.

Does this score interview candidates?

No. Communication Feedback helps you review your own spoken clarity and practice delivery. It is not an applicant-scoring or hiring recommendation system.
